Common industrial agricultural models of food production are
causing concern in many communities leading to increased public interest in food quality. Some communities have created
Community Supported Agriculture programs that address these concerns. Dr. John Eikerd, a previous SAVE Presenter,
raised a personal concern about the ability of local CSA ability to “ramp-up”
produce production to accommodate local grocery stores. This increase in food production could be
accomplished by increasing agriculture output by the use of Hydroponic
Technology. CIFT is a Northwest Ohio organization
that serves as a local resource on these and other possibilities.
Join us to learn more about this and other CIFT programs
affecting local food production.
